Digital desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Rajmata Amrita Roy, a member of erstwhile royalty and the BJP's candidate for the Krishnanagar Lok Sabha, on Wednesday, that the BJP was committed to eliminating corruption in the nation.

Amrita Roy of the BJP has filed against Trinamool Congress's Mahua Moitra. During the phone call with Rajmata, Prime Minister Modi stated that he was making efforts to return the money that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had "looted" from West Bengal's poor people.

In order to make sure that the money taken from the poor is returned to them via the assets the ED has attached from the corrupt, Prime Minister Modi stated he was considering his legal options.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the BJP was dedicated to remove corruption in the nation, but all of the corrupt were working together to save one another. PM Modi was certain that West Bengal would vote for "parivartan (change)" in the state during his chat with Roy.

An attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal before of the Lok Sabha polls has been the BJP's principal strategy, centered around corruption. The TMC's top brass, including former minister Partha Chatterjee, were detained in connection with suspected corruption, according to the BJP.

After the BJP won 18 of the state's 42 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections, the Left Front was displaced and the Mamata Banerjee-led party faced greater opposition.
