Digital Desk: The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched on Friday, July 14, and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) received congratulations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his happiness and taking to Twitter he stated, "Chandrayaan-3 scripts a new chapter in India's space odyssey."

PM Modi continued, "I salute their spirit and ingenuity!" The prime minister is now on a two-day official visit to France.


The eagerly anticipated launch of the Chandrayaan-3 mission marks India's third mission in the Chandrayaan series and its second attempt to land on the Moon's surface. On board the Launch Vehicle Mark-III, the spacecraft launched flawlessly from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.


The mission, which is expected to cost Rs 615 crore, aspires to make India a moon-fairing country and join the most fortunate club.
