Digital Desk: The third edition of Khelo India University Games will be opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday via video conference, according to his office. According to a release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the Khelo India University Games will take place in Uttar Pradesh from May 25 to June 3.

There will be around 4,750 participants competing in 21 sports from more than 200 universities. Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and Gautam Buddha Nagar are the locations where the tournaments will take held.

The Khelo India University Games will be opened by Prime Minister Modi via video conference on May 25 at 7 PM, according to the PMO, which noted that he has placed a significant emphasis on developing a national sports culture and inspiring youth to participate in sports.

The government has started several programmes to help aspiring athletes, and work is being done to improve the sports environment in the nation, according to the statement and the addition of Khelo.

The India University Games is a step in the right way. According to him, the Swamp Deer (Barasingha), the state animal of Uttar Pradesh, is represented by the games' mascot, Jitu. On June 3, Varanasi will host the Games closing ceremony.
