Digital Desk: The newly constructed terminal at Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is set to be officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 20.

Built to world-class standards, the terminal will be dedicated to the public during an evening ceremony.

Preparations for the inauguration are nearly complete, with a large public meeting planned to mark the occasion.

PM Modi is expected to address a gathering of over 50,000 people at the event, which will take place in a massive pandal specially constructed for the ceremony.

The state's cabinet minister and high-ranking officials are overseeing the preparations, while Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also visit the new terminal to review arrangements for the Prime Minister's schedule.

The day's events will also include the unveiling of a statue of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi by the Prime Minister, alongside the inauguration of the new terminal.

Efforts are ongoing to beautifully decorate the front of the airport, with work continuing around the clock.
