Digital Desk: In a significant development to the horrific child abuse case involving infamous doctor couple Sangeeta Dutta and Waliul Islam, a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court in Guwahati on Friday allowed the police to do a voice analysis of Dr. Sangeeta Dutta.

As per reports, the investigators had asked permission to take a voice sample of Dr Sangeeta Dutta for analysis.

Authorities declared that they would compare the voice to those from recordings of CCTV taken from the couple's home, where they were accused of mercilessly torturing their adopted children.

A further chargesheet related to the case has been submitted by the investigating police team. Additionally, the police have presented the results of their forensic testing to the court.

It should be noted that in May 2023, disturbing information surfaced regarding the alleged physical and sexual abuse of adopted children by famous psychiatrist Dr. Sangeeta Datta and her husband, Waliul Islam.
