Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited Nangal to greet the newlyweds...

Digital Desk: Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains aged 32, married IPS officer Dr Jyoti Yadav at a private wedding in Rupnagar on Saturday. The families attended the Anand Karaj ceremony at Gurdwara Sri Bibhor Sahib in Nangal, Ropar district.

Following the wedding, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited Nangal to meet with the newlyweds. According to AAP sources, the couple will now host three receptions. The first will take place Saturday evening in Nangal, in Bains' Anandpur Sahib constituency. 

The second and third receptions will be hosted in a resort in Zirakpur on Sunday and Monday evenings, respectively, and will be attended by ministers, MLAs, other Punjab politicians, and bureaucrats.

Surprisingly, the pair put on their invitations, "RSVP: All Aam Aadmi Party relatives." The invitations were printed in both English and Punjabi. 

Gurgaon-based Dr. Jyoti Yadav is currently serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Mansa, she is also a dentist. Bains, who joined the AAP as a volunteer and was appointed to the party's Punjab youth wing president in 2016, is a first-time MLA from Anandpur Sahib in Rupnagar district. He is a native of the district's Gambhirpur village. Bains has a law degree from Panjab University in Chandigarh.

Last year, Punjab CM Mann married Gurpreet Kaur. Since the AAP's victory in Punjab in 2022.
