PV Sindhu is the highest-paid Indian sportswoman and the only individual from the country on the Forbes list.


Digital Desk: PV Sindhu has set a new record off the court after smashing records and breaking new ground on the badminton court. According to the prestigious financial magazine Forbes, the badminton ace from Hyderabad is now the world's 12th-best-paid athlete.


PV Sindhu has earned a total of $7.1 million this fiscal year, with $7 million coming from off-field revenues. PV Sindhu won two medals at the Commonwealth Games in 2022, one in the women's singles event and one in the mixed team. PV Sindhu is the highest-paid Indian sportswoman and the only individual from the country on the Forbes list.


Tennis sensation Naomi Osaka leads the list and is the highest-paid athlete in the world, earning $51.1 million. For the third year in a row, she tops the illustrious list. She and Serena Williams, who comes in second on the list with $41.3 million, are the only two players on the list who are among the top 50 highest-paid athletes in the world.


Only six athletes made more than Naomi Osaka in off-court endorsements this year.
