Jairam Ramesh, a senior party leader, confirmed Gandhi's inability to attend the event, citing sudden illness. This setback has prompted party president Mallikarjun Kharge to take the reins in his absence, underlining the rally's significance in the current political landscape.
The rally, titled 'Ulgulan Nyay' (uprising justice), is poised to witness a confluence of prominent leaders, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav.
