This setback has prompted party president Mallikarjun Kharge to take the reins in his absence...

Digital Desk: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will not attend the INDIA bloc's mega rally in Ranchi on Sunday due to his ill-health, party leader Jairam Ramesh stated.

Jairam Ramesh, a senior party leader, confirmed Gandhi's inability to attend the event, citing sudden illness. This setback has prompted party president Mallikarjun Kharge to take the reins in his absence, underlining the rally's significance in the current political landscape.

The rally, titled 'Ulgulan Nyay' (uprising justice), is poised to witness a confluence of prominent leaders, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav. Additionally, the presence of Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, and Hemant Soren's wife, Kalpana Soren, adds further gravitas to the event.

However, the focal point of the rally lies in addressing the recent arrests of Kejriwal and Soren by the Enforcement Directorate. This move has injected urgency into the opposition's narrative, aiming to galvanize public sentiment ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Despite Gandhi's absence, the rally is poised to draw a substantial crowd, with an estimated 5 lakh attendees expected to converge at Ranchi's Prabhat Tara ground. Organized by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the event serves as a collective demonstration of strength by the INDIA bloc, signaling their resolve to challenge the incumbent government.

Gandhi's unexpected illness not only underscores the unpredictable nature of politics but also highlights the evolving dynamics within the opposition alliance. As the rally unfolds, all eyes remain fixed on the messages conveyed and the alliances forged, setting the stage for the electoral battles yet to come.
