Digital Desk: Intense rainstorms are expected to hit Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh for the next two to three days starting today.

Additionally, over the next three to four days, the majority of Eastern and Northeastern India was expected to see a period of severe rain, according to the Met department.

The forecast states that "There is a low-pressure system that is present over the western portion of the Bay of Bengal and the areas surrounding. It is quite likely to move in a west-northwesterly trajectory during the course of the next two days, heading for the coast of Andhra Pradesh ".

Forecasters predict widespread light to moderate rain, with a few isolated heavy falls, will fall over Odisha from October 3 to October 6, West Bengal and Jharkhand on October 3 and 4, Bihar from October 3 to October 5, east Madhya Pradesh from October 7 to October 11, northwest Madhya Pradesh from October 6 to October 7, and Chhattisgarh from October 4 to October 6.

The forecast stated that on October 4th, there was a very high likelihood of isolated very heavy rainfall over Bihar, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha.

"Fairly widespread/widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning is very likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on October 6 and 7; over northwest Uttar Pradesh during October 5-7; and over east Uttar Pradesh during October 4–7," the warning's text read. East Uttar Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are all anticipated to see sporadic very heavy rains between October 6 and October 8.

 

On October 7, weather analysts also predicted that northwest Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand would have sporadic, extremely heavy rain.
