Digital Desk; A Cheetah helicopter of the Indian Army crashed near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh killing one of the pilots, the official reported.

One of the two pilots on board was killed in the deadly accident that occurred Wednesday morning close to the border with China, according to a representative for the defence. According to defence spokeswoman Col. AS Walia, the accident took place at 10 am during a routine sortie in a forward area.

According to him, the two onboard pilots were sent immediately rushed to a military hospital.

He stated that one of the pilots who was seriously injured later died as a result of his wounds. According to Col. Walia, the second pilot is receiving treatment.

He claimed that the accident's initial cause was unknown.
