Digital Desk: The premiere of Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming movie Brahmastra is close. On September 9, the Ayan Mukerji film is scheduled to hit in theatres. Although Brahmastra is expected to transform Ranbir's career, Shamshera, his previous movie, was a financial failure.

At a Brahmastra promotional event in Delhi, Ranbir Kapoor responded to a question regarding Shamshera's failure by saying, "If Shamshera failed to perform well at the box office, then the audience did not enjoy the movie. Because of the poor material, the movie didn't function."

Ranbir Kapoor's character is pitted against Sanjay Dutt's character in the Shamshera narrative. The latter assumes the role of Shuddh Singh, an evil, callous, and heartless guy. A warrior tribe is imprisoned, sold into slavery, and subjected to torture in the fictional city of Kaza in the year 1800 by the brutal authoritarian general, Shuddh Singh. The main character of the tale is a slave who rises to leadership positions before becoming legendary within his community. He never stops fighting for the independence and honour of his tribe. Ronit Roy, Saurabh Shukla, and Ashutosh Rana all play significant parts in Shamshera.
