Digital Desk: One individual has been arrested in Assam's Morigaon area for his alleged connection in the murder of Guwahati businessman Ranjit Bora. Amir Ali has been recognised as the man arrested. He lives in Guwahati's Panjabari district.
He was apprehended in Borigaon by the Morigaon Police. The Guwahati Commissioner of Police issued the arrest warrant. Amir Ali was apprehended while finding refuge at his mother-in-law's house.
A team of Dispur Police officers brought him to Guwahati.
On November 21, Ranjit Bora, manager of prominent milk brand Purabi Dairy, was shot dead in broad daylight by unidentified gunmen in Panjabari.
According to reports, he was carrying a hefty amount of cash to deposit at a bank when the incident occurred.
