No other senior Tata Group officials, with whom Mistry had a lengthy legal struggle, were seen at the funeral. The last rites for Cyrus Mistry were performed on Tuesday at the Worli cremation ground in Mumbai. Prominent businessmen and industrialists like Deepak Parekh, Anil Ambani, Akash Ambani, Ajit Gulabchand, and Vishal Kampani were present at the funeral.
S Ramadorai, the former CEO of TCS, and Madhu Kannan, one of the top executives Mistry chose to lead Tata Sons, made their presence known. Zarin Daruwala, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank India, Ronnie Screwvala, Hafeez Contractor, architect, NCP member Supriya Sule, and Mahanaryaman Scindia (son of aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia) were also in attendance. Before the bones were placed in the electric furnace, a family priest performed the ceremonies in accordance with Parsi tradition.
