Now the question arises: How Islamic countries are reacting to the remark?
The action against Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal was prompted by outrage by the Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, Qatar, Kuwait, and even the Taliban Regime in Afghanistan.

Digital Desk:
The members of the Muslim community staged massive protests all over India on Friday over controversial and insulting remarks by suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and expelled leader Naveen Jindal against Prophet Muhammad.

The protests broke out after Friday prayers in several cities including Delhi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Shopian, Srinagar, Kolkata, etc. In Delhi, people gathered in large numbers outside Jama Masjid and demanded the arrest of Nupur Sharma.

·         Saudi Arabia called for respect for all religions
·         Iran summoned Indian Envoy
·         Pakistan accused India of persecuting Muslims
·         Qatar summoned the Indian Ambassador
·         Kuwait denounced Nupur Sharma’s statement
·         Afghanistan condemned Nupur Sharma’s statement

Also, a ban on Indian products in all the above countries has been announced.
This controversial statement from the BJP Spokesperson will surely have a negative impact on India and important areas like Import-export, foreign relations, exchange of culture, and tradition will be affected. Most importantly, the already falling GDP might see another down-trending graph.

Some even demanded a public apology from Nupur Sharma in New Delhi. Assaudin Owaisi, AIMIM Chief demanded the immediate arrest of Nupur Sharma.
However, some backed the BJP Spokesperson.

Vishnu Jain, Petitioner, Gyaanvapi Case raised an important question and asked when will the Muslims be arrested who speak against Hindu Culture and make derogatory statements on Shivlings?

Alok Kumar, VHP Working President, said she made the comment in the flow of the moment and that she should be forgiven.
