A right-wing leader wants India to declare the Moon a Hindu Rashtra and Shiv Shakti Point it's capital before "anyone tries to wage Jihad on the lunar surface".

Digital Desk: The political comment about Chandrayaan 3's landing spot began as soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday named the site as Shiv Shakti.

While leaders from opposition parties, and Islamic scholars are criticizing the move, BJP allies and many Hindu outfits have welcomed the nomination.

Swami Chakrapani, the president of the Hindu Mahasabha, made a controversial comment on the current situation in the meantime. According to the news agency ANI, Swami Chakrapani stated, "Even before the Jihadi mentality people reach the moon, the moon should be declared a Hindu nation and Shivshakti Point should be made the capital of the Hindu nation."

Shiv-Shakti is taken into consideration to be Shiv-Shakti Dham. I am sending a letter for the same to the government on behalf of Hindu Mahasabha and Sant Mahasabha, he stated.

Swami Chakrapani stated that they have passed a resolution to build a temple of Lord Shiva, goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha at the point when commuting to the moon becomes easier. The priest also demanded to declare Shiv-Shakti Point as the capital of Hindu Rashtra on the moon.

Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the landing site for Chandrayaan-3 would be designated as "Shiv-Shakti," while the site where Chandrayaan-2 landed unsuccessfully  would be known as "Tiranga Point."

In addition, PM Modi declared August 23 as National Space Day.
After its space shuttle, Chandrayaan-3 touched down safely on the Moon's South Pole on August 23, India scripted history. Since then, the space agency has been daily releasing information about the mission.
