The preliminary investigation found that the accused was in love with the girl, but she did not reciprocate his feelings.

Digital Desk: A 15-year-old girl was shot dead by a man on Wednesday in Survaya, Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi, in an unrequited love case, police said.

Arvind Vishwakarma (22), the accused, shot Anuradha Bind in the head as she was walking home from a tutoring institute with her cousin sister Nisha. According to police, she died on the spot.

The preliminary investigation found that the accused was in love with the girl, but she did not reciprocate his feelings. Irked by the rejection of his dating proposal, he shot her, according to Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar.

Police are working to find the accused.
