"It brings me great pleasure to welcome 'MI Emirates' & 'MI Cape Town,' the newest additions to our #Onefamily," stated Mrs. Nita M. Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries.

Digital Desk: The two new franchises joining the Mumbai Indians #OneFamily were given names and brand identities today by Reliance Industries Limited, the team's owners. The team name that will be shown on the recognizable blue and gold uniforms of the group will be "MI Emirates" in the UAE's International League T20 and "MI Cape Town" in the Cricket South Africa T20 League.

The names "MI Emirates" and "MI Cape Town" were chosen since they identify the particular areas where the teams will be headquartered. Both the "MI Emirates" and "MY Cape Town" teams are devoted to their respective fan bases in both the Emirates. and Cape Town. The new organizations incorporate regional influences while retaining the unique Mumbai Indian character. The #OneFamily movement's global growth will bring to the leagues the principles and ideals that have made the Mumbai Indians one of the most adored franchise cricket teams.

"It brings me great pleasure to welcome 'MI Emirates' & 'MI Cape Town,' the newest additions to our #Onefamily," stated Mrs. Nita M. Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries.

MI is more to us than just cricket. It represents the capacity to dream, be fearless, and cultivate a positive outlook on life. I have no doubt that MI Cape Town and the MI Emirates will share the same ethos and further the legacy of MI in international cricket!
