After completing her English undergraduate degree at Kolkata's Loreto College, Gitanjali Aiyar received her diploma.

Digital Desk: Gitanjali Aiyar, who was one of Doordarshan's first English newsreaders and had worked there for more than 30 years, passed away on Wednesday, June 7. Since she began working for Doordarshan in 1971, she has won four awards for best anchorperson.

For her exceptional work, accomplishments, and service, she was given the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for Outstanding Women in 1989. She managed major donors for the India office of the World Wide Fund.

After completing her English undergraduate degree at Kolkata's Loreto College, Gitanjali Aiyar received her diploma. She was also a holder of a National School of Drama diploma.

Gitanjali expanded her career after a successful career as a newsreader at Doordarshan into corporate communications, government relations, and marketing. She started working as a consultant for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) while also acting in the "Khandaan" television series.
