PPM is given for a very distinguished record of service to the police, and PM is given for significant service marked by resourcefulness and devotion to duty.
Digital Desk: On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day, a total of 15 Assam police personnel are slated to receive police medals.
The President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM) has been conferred to one of them, while the Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PM) has been conferred to the other 14.
