Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, inaugurated the demo-run of an Inland Water Vessel powered by Methanol blended Diesel (MD15) ahead of the India Energy Week 2023 (IEW 2023), which will be held in Bengaluru from February 6 to 8, 2023. The event was also attended by Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Labor and Employment, Government of India.
The "SB Gangadhar," a 50-seater motor launch marine vessel, was employed for the boat tour. Ruston diesel engines (each 105 hp) are put in the nautical craft, and MD-15 (HSD combined with 15% methanol) will be utilized to power the boat.
