Digital Desk: Two teenage step-sisters from Pakistan killed their father by setting him on fire in revenge for rape. The sisters were arrested later by the police in the Punjab city of Gujranwala, Pakistan. The father succumbed to his injuries in a hospital after a week.

Police officials informed that both the sisters had confessed to their crime. The police also added that they decided between them to kill their father as it was a 'permanent solution' for his cruel act.

While their father was in a deep sleep, they set him ablaze by pouring petrol on him. They had also tied their father by a rope before setting him on fire. The father suffered severe burn injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. However, he lost his life nearly after a week in the
hospital.

The step-sisters alleged that the father had been sexually assaulting the older sister for a long time and tried to rape the younger one twice.

The girls also confessed that their mothers were married to the father, and were aware of the physical abuse they had been facing for a long time. But both the mothers were not involved in the murder of their father.

One of the mothers of the teenage girls is apprehended and the other one is being questioned for their suspected involvement in the crime. The police officials had also informed that they are hiding the girls' identities and present them before the court once the investigation ends.

According to reports, the man was married to three women, but the first wife died. He had ten children from his three wives. After the death of his first wife, the remaining family members lived together in a rented house in the Punjab city of Gujranwala.
