Digital Desk: In a late-night development, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, the entrepreneur and wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, arrived at the Crime Branch at 12:30 am to file a formal complaint against senior Congress leader Pawan Khera.
Accompanied by Advocate General Devajit Saikia and a legal team, she officially initiated legal proceedings following Khera's allegations that she holds passports from three different countries and owns substantial assets abroad.
She dismissed these claims as entirely false and fabricated. According to her, the evidence against her was created using AI and Photoshop to mislead the public.
She has entrusted the Assam Police with the responsibility of investigating the matter and bringing out the truth.
"If I had invested Rs 52,000 crore, why would I remain in Assam? It seems they have even miscalculated the figures. With that kind of wealth, I would have control over multiple states." she emphasized.
After completing the formalities, she left the Crime Branch office at approximately 1:30 am, reaffirming her commitment to pursuing the matter through legal channels.
