He also became the first Indian batsman to hit 50 sixes in the game's longest format with his second six of the game against Mehidy Hasan.

Digital Desk: India's star-studded batting order was put on the back foot by Bangladeshi spinners on Day 1 of the first Test against Bangladesh as KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli were quickly bowled out of the game. In order to get India back in the game, Rishabh Pant, who hasn't been playing well recently in white-ball cricket, mounted a counterattack. To keep the scoreboard going, the left-handed batsman hit 46 runs off 45 balls. During his knock, Pant also accomplished two significant milestones.

During the first Test against Bangladesh, Pant reached the milestone of 4000 runs played in international cricket. He also became the first Indian batsman to hit 50 sixes in the game's longest format with his second six of the game against Mehidy Hasan. Soon after hitting Hasan for a six, Pant was bowled by the off-spinner and was forced to return to the hut.

With century against England and Australia away from home, Pant has already had a significant influence on red-ball cricket during his brief career.
