The impact was so severe that the body was left in multiple pieces on the road.

Digital Desk: A fatal road accident took place near the  Six Mile flyover at 6:10 AM today resulting in the death of a 50-year-old man as per eyewitnesses, the victim died after two high-speed dumpers lost control when hitting him while he tried to cross the road, the dumpers were speeding at  120-130 kilometers per hour and was  coming from Khanapara’s direction.

Despite signaling the approaching vehicles, neither stopped nor reduced the speed  until one of the dumpers ran the victim killing him mercilessly. The  impact from the vehicle was so severe that it tore the victim's body into various parts which remained scattered across the road.

Shockingly, even an hour after the accident the Dispur police did not arrive at the scene. The authorities have not identified either the deceased individual or the vehicle which fled after fatally killing the person nor have they traced down the responsible vehicle even though three hours have passed.

Local resident believes that the dumpers were driving in an unsafe manner as they might have been under the influence of hard drugs or alcohol. A CCTV camera was positioned near the accident site, yet no crucial footage has been retrieved.

Road safety and law enforcement in the city become questionable due to the  police’s delay action  and the lack of identifying leads as it also raises serious concerns about road safety and law enforcement in the city.
Further details are awaited.
