The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH)
Digital Desk : While the nation celebrated the 79th Independence Day with pride and enthusiasm, a tragic road accident on Bogibeel Bridge, the longest rail-road bridge in India shocked and saddened Dibrugarh.
The incident occurred near pillar number 3, where a head-on collision between a Bolero vehicle and a motorcycle led to the Bolero overturning on the bridge .The biker was seriously injured and he was rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) soon where he was announced dead later. He has not been identified yet.
There were also two passengers of Bolero who sustained serious injuries and have been shifted to AMCH.
The crash created an atmosphere of tension amongst locals and marred the days celebrations. What was meant to be a joyous occasion turned into a tragic reminder of the unpredictability of life, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
