Guwahati: On Saturday, State Government has decided that a target amount of Rs. 3500 has been initiated to set for Excise Department for the current financial year.
A review meeting was conducted to analyze the decision and discuss other related functioning of the Excise Department. The conference was held in the presence of Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidya.
Concerns that were addressed over the meeting cover:
- To have a stringent check concerning liquor and related documents imported to the State to depreciate revenue loss.
- Send letters to the nearby North Eastern States to maintain the evenness of liquor prices and lessen disparities.
- CP, Guwahati to break the corruption involved in importing Extra Neutral Alcohol into the State.
