Digital Desk: On December 25, Waliv police detained actor Sheezan Mohammed Khan for allegedly aiding and abetting actress Tunisha Sharma's suicide. Sharma's co-star Sheezan Mohammed Khan was her rumoured boyfriend.
Sharma allegedly committed suicide on December 24 while filming in her makeup room. Her mother filed a complaint against Khan after the incident. Khan has been charged under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. He was apprehended in the early hours of Sunday.
"Tunisha Sharma died by suicide on the set of a TV serial," Waliv police stated in a statement. Her mother has filed a formal complaint. We're looking into it." Khan will appear in court on Monday. According to ANI, authorities received information that the actress went to the restroom after the tea break and did not return. The police arrived and broke down the door. Sharma is accused of hanging herself.
During the initial investigation, no suicide notes were discovered. The cause of the reported suicide remains unknown. The police department also stated that the suicide and murder perspectives would be investigated.
Tunisha's remains will be sent to her family from JJ Hospital at 11 a.m., according to reports. Following that, Tunisha's body will be transported to Mira Road, where the actress's final rites will be administered between 4 and 4:30 p.m.
