As per reports, the accused Gabriel Lakra dug a pit behind their house and buried his mother, Budhuni Lakra, alive. The incident came to light when locals, alarmed by unusual activity, alerted authorities.
Upon arriving at the scene, police swiftly intervened to rescue Budhuni Lakra from the pit dug by her own son. Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing sight of Budhuni, who had been paralysed for 8-10 years, still breathing as she was being unearthed.
