Guwahati: The South Korean company Sunjin wants to set up a livestock feed plant in Assam, said the Assam government. 

A Korean company committee, headed by its chief administrative officer and managing director Gi-No Park, reached to meet Assam Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, an official release stated.

"The committee revealed its interest in fixing up a modernized livestock feed plant in Assam," it continued.

Assam Commerce Minister Patowary persuaded the firm to implement all required assistance to install a plant in the northeastern state.

Patowary highlighted the comfort of managing the business in Assam. He also mentioned the benefits of the area in terms of natural sources, functional connectivity, and a business-friendly ecosystem.

The Assam government will further appoint a nodal officer to promote the recommended scheme, Patowary informed.

The firm's subsidiary, Sunjin India, has market exercises in Punjab and Haryana and other nations such as China, Vietnam, the Philippines, including Myanmar.
