 Digital Desk: On Monday, the ministry of home affairs (MHA) suggested that the Haryana BJP leader and social media influencer Sonali Phogat's death be investigated by the CBI.

The Tiktok celebrity from Hisar, age 43, passed away in Goa last month. The police later discovered that her drink had been tainted the night before her death at a nightclub.

 

 After Goa's chief minister Pramod Sawant announced he would write to Union home minister Amit Shah to urge that the investigation be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation, the report was released shortly after (CBI).

 

Sawant stated that the state will ask Home Minister Amit Shah to transfer the investigation of the case to the CBI in light of the request made by Phogat's family members, particularly her daughter..

 

At the St Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa, the BJP leader's death was officially announced on August 23. A few hours before she passed away, she was discovered having fun at the well-known beach nightclub Curlies. Edwin Nunes, the business's owner, was one of five people detained. Bail was later granted to Nunes.
