Mumbai: Ravichandran Ashwin, star spinner from India created history on Saturday's third day Test match in Kanpur. He got his 415th wicket in Test cricket. He has excelled Pakistan legend Wasim Akram, in this regard. Ashwin now has a total of 416 wickets in Tests. 

The significant point is that Ashwin has made it to the 80th Test. He has soon climbed up to the 14th spot in terms of most wickets in Test cricket.

Remarkably, Ravichandran is simply two wickets away from legendary Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh's record of 417 wickets. While Wasim Akram took 414 wickets in 104 Tests, Ashwin earned only 80 matches to join the breakthrough.

Therefore, with this blow, Ravichandran has set another distinguished record. He has additionally topped the list in terms of most Test wickets in 2021.

Ravichandran Ashwin took 40 wickets in 2021. In contrast, Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi has 39 this year. When it gets to active players, he gets in at No.3 in terms of most wickets.
