The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in prominent roles, with Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia playing supporting characters. Salman Khan also makes an appearance in the film.

Pathaan premiered on Wednesday with 57 million in domestic sales, becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film in history. On day 2, Thursday, a Republic Day holiday, it surpassed 100 crore. Needless to say, the film achieved the biggest second-day collections for a Bollywood picture.

Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst, shared the day 2 collections at three major national chains, including INOX, Cinepolis, and PVR, on Thursday night. "#Pathaan at *national chains*," he tweeted.
