The action was taken a day after Mukherjee was questioned by ED investigators on the SSC scandal.

Digital Desk: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided five places in and around Kolkata on Wednesday in connection with the West Bengal teacher recruitment scam.

ED teams arrived at the Belghoria, North 24 Parganas district home of Partha Chatterjee's aide, Arpita Mukherjee. At Mukherjee's Belghoria apartment, five ED officials and members of the central forces began search operations.

She also owns a property in Kolkata, where during a raid last week, ED authorities found about Rs 22 crore in cash, more than 20 mobile phones, and incriminating paperwork.

The action was taken a day after Mukherjee was questioned by ED investigators on the SSC scandal.

It is to be noted that the judge has granted the ED custody of Mukherjee till August 3.
