These stones, known as "Kakad," were venerated along the edges of fields; two of these stones are located on the Dinosaur Fossils Park's grounds.

Digital Desk: Recent research by a team of experts revealed that people living in a village in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh had been unknowingly worshipping dinosaur eggs for years as family deities.

Millions of years ago, the village is situated in the Narmada Valley, a place associated with the dinosaur era. The local authorities launched an inquiry as soon as the dinosaur eggs were found.

Three scientists, Drs. Mahesh Thakkar, Vivek V. Kapoor, and Shilpa convened a workshop in December to discuss the scientific and development efforts of the Dinosaur Fossils Park, and this was the result.

Vesta Patel, a local, told them about the practice of worshipping spherical stones, some of which contain dinosaur eggs, during the session.

These stones, known as "Kakad," were venerated along the edges of fields; two of these stones are located on the Dinosaur Fossils Park's grounds.

Vishal Verma, a local dinosaur specialist, said that the park's appeal may be increased by showcasing the fossils' preservation and the culture that surrounds them to the entire globe.

The spherical stones, which are very important in indigenous worship practices, are said to represent family deities. They are not just eggs. These stones have been revered for generations; they are frequently found beneath fig trees. The land is being converted into a zoological park, therefore maintaining these customs is essential to the park's cultural diversity, according to Verma.

The dinosaur eggs are in good condition; they have an approximate diameter of 18 centimetres. There are attempts underway to safeguard some, while others will be suitably displayed for public access.

Local Vesta Mandloi revealed that the villagers had been feeding these "stones" coconuts, so they were surprised to learn that they were actually dinosaur eggs.
