A mob also stormed Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh's home in the Heingang Assembly Constituency...

Digital Desk: Protests have been ongoing since the murders of two Meitei community youngsters. Along with the students throughout the state, civil society organisations have expressed their outrage.

In a video, the students were seen protesting and asking Chief Minister N. Biren Singh to appear and address their issues. "What is stopping you from coming out?" a student questioned.

Furthermore, yesterday, a crowd attacked Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh's personal residence in Heingang Assembly Constituency, Imphal East District.

Biren Singh, the Chief Minister, was reportedly safe because he was at the CM's residence at the time of the incident that occurred.

Security forces on the location, however, retaliated with tear gas shells, and there were reports of live rounds being fired.

Previously, the Manipur government assured the public that all those involved in the killings of the two teenagers would face prompt punishment.

For five days, the government also halted mobile internet and data services. As police assaulted the mob with batons, at least 30 students were injured.
