Sudha Ji's contributions to diverse fields including social work, philanthropy, and education have been immense and inspiring. Her presence in the Rajya Sabha is a powerful testament to our 'Nari Shakti', exemplifying the strength and potential of women in shaping our nation's destiny. Author, philanthropist, and former chair of the Infosys Foundation Sudha Murty is an Indian educator. She also participates in the Gates Foundation's public health programs. Murty has established the Murty Classical Library of India at Harvard University.
India's fourth-highest civilian honor, the Padma Shri, was given to Sudha Murty in 2006. She received the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian honor, later in 2023.
Murty got married to Infosys co-founder Narayan Murty, and the two of them have two kids, Rohan and Akshata. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is married to Akshata Murty.
Another work of literature that Sudha Murthy is well-known for is "Dollar Bahu," which she wrote in Kannada before translating into English. In 2001, Zee TV adapted the novel into a dramatic series. Additionally, she wrote the narrative "Runa," which was made into a Marathi movie.
