Digital Desk: Sunil Kanti has officially taken charge as the Executive Director and Head of the Guwahati Refinery on Tuesday, appointed by the Indian Oil Corporation. He succeeded P K Basumatary, the former Chief General Manager and Head of the Refinery. Indian Oil Corporation in a statement on Wednesday informed the appointment of Kanti as the head of Guwahati Refinery.
Sunil Kanti was serving as the Executive Director (Materials and Contract) at Indian Oil's Refineries Headquarters in the national capital before assuming this role.
Kanti completed his graduation in mechanical engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela. He began his career as a mechanical engineer at Indian Oil in the year 1994.
Throughout his profession, he has worked at the various refineries of Guwahati, Barauni, Gujarat, and Digboi. He has also gained experience in multiple roles at different Refineries headquarters.
The Indian Oil Corporation in a statement said, "Sunil Kanti has a rich experience of refinery operation and maintenance, materials and contract, and project commissioning, including overseas assignments."
With all the experiences in Refinery operations and management, he is expected to bring more glory to the Guwahati Refinery.
