Digital Desk: A 47-year-old woman from Pathekarchuk, under the jurisdiction of the Puranigudam State Dispensary, has tested positive for Swine Flu (H1N1), sparking renewed health concerns in the region.


The patient, identified as Dipamoni Pathak, was initially admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati for three days.


Following her H1N1 diagnosis, medical authorities immediately referred her to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she is currently undergoing specialised treatment.


The detection of the virus has caused significant alarm in the Pathekarchuk area, which is home to several pig farms.
