Digital Desk: A wild bear assaulted 3 people on Saturday in the forest of Tamil Nadu's Tenkasi district, resulting in their injuries.

The incident occurred as Vaigundamani from Karuthilingapuram was riding a two-wheeler carrying masala packets from Sivasailam to Pethanpillai.

He was through a section of the forest when a bear attacked him from behind. Vaigundamani was knocked to the ground by the wild animal, and the wild animal then started biting him hard.

The villagers were informed by commuters, and they threw stones at the bear to try to scare it away, but the animal made no move. As a sizable throng formed, the bear ran toward them, attacked, and critically injured two more people, Nagendran and Sailendra.

When forest department representatives arrived, they sent the three to a hospital for treatment. Later, they located the bear nearby, tracked it down, tranquillized it, and finally captured it.
