Digital Desk: In a heart-wrenching incident in Assam's Kaliabor, a tea worker lost his life after a wild elephant attacked him on May 17 evening.

The victim, identified as Bheem Tanti, was a resident of Line No. 12 in the playground area of Shakmuthi Tea Estate.

As per reports, Bheem Tanti was suddenly attacked by the wild animal at Hargao while on his way to home from his work.

He worked at a privately owned garden near the Shakmuthi Tea Estate.

The attack was so severe that Tanti lost his life on the spot.

Eyewitnesses said that the attack was so fatal that despite their attempts to chase the wild elephant away, Tanti died on the spot.

The conflict between humans and animals is becoming more frequent in Assam. The incident has ignited concerns among residents of the area.

Such a situation demands a collaborative effort to promote coexistence and ensure the well-being of both humans and elephants.
