The deceased, identified as Kunja Kakoti, committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train on Saturday night.
As per report, the journalist allegedly jumped in front of the Upper Assam-bound Kalangpar Express train.
The incident occurred at Saragaon of Raha, Nagaon. His body was found on the railway track in Saragaon at night.
Before committing suicide, the journalist made an offensive post on his Facebook handle.
His Facebook post blames a married woman, who is allegedly involved in multiple extramarital affairs.
Kunja Kakoti detailed his sufferings, blaming the woman for his suicide and demanding stringent punishment for her.
In his Facebook post, he also provided a phone number of the woman and shared his mobile lock digits.
He requested the authorities to check his phone and go through all his photos and videos with the woman.
