Digital Desk: A team of opposition MPs from the I.N.D.I.A. are slated to visit Manipur on July 29 and 30 as part of their demand for a thorough discussion in Parliament about the situation in the state, which has experienced ethnic violence.

The visit takes place when Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla accepts the opposition parties' notice of a motion of no confidence motion against the government.

According to the opposition leaders, they decided to file for a motion of no confidence to get the administration and the Prime Minister's response on several problems, including the situation in Manipur.
The demands of the opposition parties for a thorough examination of the violence in Manipur and a response from the prime minister have sparked protests in the Rajya Sabha.

"A team of INDIA alliance MPs will visit Manipur on July 29, 30," an opposition leader stated.

Since the start of the monsoon session of Parliament on July 20, opposition parties have been putting pressure on MPs to grant their request. Although the opposition has insisted on debate under an adjournment motion, the government has stated that it is ready for debate on this issue.

There were disruptions in both Houses of Parliament on Thursday.
Home Minister Amit Shah visited Manipur and stated several steps to bring back peace. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited there in June.
The I.N.D.I.An alliance was formed by 26 opposition parties at a conference earlier this month in Bengaluru.
