Digital Desk: Many worshippers were trapped after the floor covering a well at an Indore temple sank during Ram Navami celebrations on Thursday.

The event was reported from the Shri Baleshwar temple in the city's Sneh Nagar neighbourhood.

Numerous videos released after the incident showed mayhem and rescue efforts at the temple.

So far, ten people have been rescued as a result of the event.

According to information obtained by the media, the well's covering collapsed while devotees were standing over it inside the temple.



Rescue efforts were underway to free those who remained trapped inside the well.

According to witnesses, ambulances and fire departments did not arrive on time.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was apprised of the situation and urged officials to accelerate rescue efforts at the shrine.

According to the Chief Minister's office, they are in continual communication with the Indore district government.
In a statement, the chief minister announced that ten individuals had been rescued, while nine others remained trapped.

There were no reports of casualties in the event, according to CM Chouhan, who added that he was watching the situation.
