One of the top and most coveted HEIs in the northeastern region of India is Tezpur University. In 76 programmes spread across 27 departments, it offers UG, PG, PhDs, and diplomas.

Digital Desk: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has given Tezpur University A+ rating (NAAC). With such a desired grade, the University is among the top 7% of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in India.

In its 4th cycle of accreditation, the University received a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) rating of 3.41 on a 4-point scale. The six-member NAAC Peer Team, which visited the university between August 1 and August 3, 2022, lauded it for its many advantages. The Peer Team gave the University high praise for its well-kept infrastructure and its top-notch research and development.

Pro Vice-Chancellor of Tezpur University, Prof. D. K. Bhattacharrya, stated in response to the NAAC rating that "this grade became achievable due to constant, integrated, yet coordinated efforts of all the members of the University under the capable direction of our Vice Chancellor. Future days must see us upholding this norm."
