Tennessee: A University lecturer’s unique way of rewarding his students, has now gone viral on social media, attracting praises from parents and netizens for instilling the inquisitiveness among the students.

A student waiting for a surprise gift and that too after being engaged in a curious activity, surely ups the rewarding experience.

Kenyon Wilson, a lecturer teacher at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, has carried out an experiment with his students that involved cash rewards.

Wilson hid the money inside a locker and then directed his students to look for the money by following the directions mentioned in the syllabus he had taught them.

And did the students find the money?

The money remained in the same locker when Wilson opened it at the end of the semester, suggesting none of his students were able to get through the whole syllabus to see the clue.

“My semester-long experiment has come to an end. At the state of the term, I placed $50 in one of our lockers and included the locker number & combination in my syllabus for a class with over 70 enrolled,” Wilson wrote on Facebook.

It added: “Today I retrieved the unclaimed treasure. What academic shenanigans should I try next?”
