Digital Desk: The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, has finally been given a release date. Due to the escalating number of Covid-19 cases, the film was pushed back from its original release date of January 26, 2022. The Kashmir Files will finally be released in theatres on March 11 when the country's situation improves. Helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files is based on the lives of Kashmiri Pandits and is inspired by true events. The film releases on March 11, 2022, in theatres. Anupam Kher unveiled the new release date of the film and wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT: #TheKashmirFiles is releasing in THEATRES on March 11. The film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios, IAmBuddha, and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, with Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi, and Vivek Agnihotri. Mithun Chakraborty plays Brahma Dutt, Anupam Kher plays Pushkarnath, Darshan Kumar plays Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi plays Radhika Menon, Bhasha Sumbali plays Shraddha Pandit, Chinmay Mandlekar plays Farooq Malik aka Bitta (based on Farooq Ahmed Dar), and Puneet Issar plays DGP Hari Narain.
