So, if they can predict the outcome in advance, I have to say that the Karnataka party must have learned something about EVMs," Sarma told reporters here.

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed on Sunday that the Congress must have "gathered some knowledge" about EVMs in order for the grand old party to win the Karnataka Assembly elections. The southern state will vote on May 10 and the results will be announced on May 13, with the Congress attempting to unseat the present BJP government.

"Previously, they (Congress) used to accuse us of EVM difficulties... So, if they can predict the outcome in advance, I have to say that the Karnataka party must have learned something about EVMs," Sarma told reporters here.

The Congress has declared its intention to win in Karnataka. Senior Congress leader and former minister M B Patil told PTI that the party will come to power on its own in the southern state with 130-odd seats out of 224.

The BJP has announced candidates in 212 constituencies, the Congress in 165, and the JD(S) in 93.
