Digital Desk: No less than tens of thousands of protestors joined the worldwide raging demonstrations in unanimity with Iran, where unrest was sparked by the alleged death of a female in custody. On Saturday, people marched in Berlin to mark the sixth week of protests against Mahsa Amini's death. The protests drew an estimated 80,000 people, according to local police.
"The demonstrators carried banners that read 'Woman, Life, Freedom' and waved the Iranian national flag." According to Reuters, organizers said that Iranians had travelled from the United States, Canada, and across the European Union to join protesters against Mahsa Amini's death.
Los Angeles, which is home to the biggest population of Iranians outside of Iran, witnessed a procession along closed downtown streets as hundreds openly demanded the collapse of the government in Tehran.
"We want freedom," AP quoted the demonstrators as saying.
According to experts, the ongoing anti-Iranian government protests are the largest march against the Islamic Republic by Iranians living abroad. Furthermore, the protests are viewed as one of the most serious challenges to Iran's clerical regime.
