In a significant initiative to bolster representation in public services, the All Tiwa Students' Union (ATSU) has launched 'Pragya-1.0', a dedicated mission designed to assist meritorious students from the Tiwa community in clearing the competitive Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) examinations.
Announcing the programme during a press conference held at its Tribal Rest House (TRH) in Morigaon on Thursday, the central committee of ATSU outlined its commitment to nurturing talent within the community. The core of 'Pragya-1.0' involves forming an expert advisory body composed of experienced civil service officers. This body will include both serving and retired officials from various Central and State government departments, who will lend their expertise to guide and mentor aspiring candidates.
The move is seen as a strategic intervention to provide crucial support and direction, addressing the specific challenges faced by students from the Tiwa community as they prepare for rigorous state-level competitive exams. Officials from the student union emphasized that the advisory body's role will be pivotal in offering comprehensive guidance, ranging from exam strategies to interview preparation, thereby enhancing the success rate of Tiwa aspirants.
