Tokyo: India’s Suyash Narayan Jadhav has been disqualified in Men’s 100m Breaststroke SB7 at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre on Wednesday at the ongoing Paralympics.


The 27-year-old swimmer was disqualified on the ground of technical issues as he performed more than one fly kick after the turn, an official statement said.


Colombia’s Carlos Zarate clinch the gold medal with a Paralympic record of 1:12:01, while Russian Paralympic Committee Egor Efrosinin grabbed silver and Australian’s Blake Cochrane won the bronze in the final match.


However, Jadhav is scheduled to play for the 50m butterfly on Friday, his main event at the game.


Earlier in the day, no shooter got qualified for the R3 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 as Avani Lekhara finished at 27th place while Sidhartha Babu at 40th and Deepak at 43rd place.


In the row of India’s achievement in Paralympics, India’s medal tally stands at ten after Mariyappan Thangavelu, Sharad Kumar, and Singhraj increased the number on Tuesday.
